It has to be said, it’s quite hard to find something that is actually made here in The Turks and Caicos Islands. But two of the best things that are made here are Potcakes and Local Artwork.

We are now able to combine the two.

About the Artist….

Phillip Outten   Phillip was born on the island of Grand Turk in The Turks and Caicos Islands. After attending art school in Jamaica he branched out on his own.

Forty Five year old Phillip Outten sees life through the oceans of the Caribbean
His paintings hang in many homes. But the soft spoken artist is also a horseman; he grew up around the horses that have roamed Grand Turk since the times of the Bermudian salt rakers. Those early settlers shipped the animals there to provide transportation. Stardust was Phillips’s first horse, but he admits that all the horses on Grand Turk have a place in his heart. He knows them all, and has taken care of and ridden many of them. After some time spent away from the islands, Phillip is back home and trying to reestablish himself. His passion for Island animals shows in his paintings. From the roaming ponies to the stray Potcakes, Phillip adds his own Island spirit to every painting he produces.Image Image
